Consequences for not following the B.F.M. regulations and rules:

That vendor may be asked to leave the market for good or for a brief time period depending on the severity of the situation(s) at hand.
*Each vendor shall be entitled to one written warning before action may be taken to have them leave the Bath Farmers Market.

Rules And Regulations:
1. Our goal is to keep the money made here at the B.F.M. within Steuben County.
*To participate as a vendor at the B.F.M a vendors business office must be from Steuben County with a few exceptions.
*A vendors business may also participate at the B.F.M. at any time if the business office is located outside of Steuben County but within the jurisdiction stated below.
*No more north than Dundee
*No more east than Montour Falls
*No more south than Pine City
*Any senior citizen (65 years old and above) may setup at the Bath Farmers Market no matter where their business is from and no matter what they are selling.
2. Our goal is to keep the B.F.M. dedicated to the hard working farmers within Steuben County and the previously stated jurisdiction.
*There is no limit to how many farmers can work at the B.F.M.
*Auction bought produce is permitted to be sold as long as farmers are providing their own home grown produce as well.
*Farmers are expected and encouraged to offer more of their own home grown produce as the season advances into July.
*Management reserves the right to check on any farmer and their produce fields to ensure that they offer produce of their own.
*All farmers must follow all market and government run program regulations for the farmers markets.
3. Our goal is to keep a wide variety of products available to the community while making sure not to create an over abundance of competition and repeat products. Competition is good for the customer but an over abundance of competition can hurt the vendors.
*Vendors will be chosen to participate in the B.F.M. upon their application and approval of their premier as well as their secondary products. Approval is dependent upon what is needed and what is not needed at the market. Applications may endure a vote by management before being approved.
*Senior Vendors are those who have participated in the B.F.M. the longest amount of consecutive years and will be the first to be approved for each following year.
*Senior Vendors have the right to keep their assigned spots to setup year after year provided they follow all guide lines and are present each year.
*If any senior vendor chooses not to work at the B.F.M. for any year in the future, then they choose to relinquish their position as a senior vendor and a new vendor may take their position.
*If any senior vendor chooses not to work at the B.F.M. for any year in the future, then they choose to start their senior vendor status over when they come back.
*If any vendor would like to offer secondary products along with their premier product then they must ask for permission and must get approval from the market manager first before making it for sale to the public.
*If any vendor would like to change the premier product they sell to a different premier product, they must ask for approval from the manager and get permission before placing the new premier product up for sale.
4. Our goal is to keep the tradition of the "Farmers Market" alive by making sure all craft vendors are selling hand made products.
*75% of craft vendors products must be hand made.
*Craft vendors may use second hand items or base materials to make their craft. However a well defined and personal touch must be appointed to each product being sold.
*Craft vendors must put their premier product for sale at the forefront of their setups.
*Manager approved secondary products for sale must be set to the side of the premier product for sale leaving the premier product as the highlight of the setup and in the front.
5. Our goal is to provide the community with a variety of one of a kind baked goods, jams, jelly, etc. that are home made, delicious. and healthy to eat.
*All baked goods, jams, jelly, etc. for sale must be properly labeled and meet all health board regulations and standards.
6. Our goal is to provide the community and its workers with a wonderful day or lunch break in the park and something delicious and healthy to eat while spending time and money in the park once a week.

A space must be assigned by the manager before used.
9. Our goal is to make each important decision with plenty of insight, opinion, and equality by way of proper management and regular meetings.
*There must always be a manager, money manager, and treasurer/secretary who are consistent attending vendors.
*There may be as many advisers (vendors who pay a season payment and attend meetings) necessary for decision making purposes.
*Within the month of September a vote may be requested and held to find the manager for the following market season. If no one chooses to request or enter themselves into the running for the manager position, the attending manager at the time is to take the manager position for the following season. The vote is to be run and directed by a person who is not a part of the B.F.M. The vote is to be taken by way of ballad from all vendors who have payed a season payment for the current year.
*If the money manager decides to leave, the treasurer/secretary may immediately have the money manager position and must choose a new treasurer/secretary to work with immediately.
*If the treasurer/secretary decides to leave, the money manager must choose a new treasurer/secretary to work with immediately.
